I have been an artist and painter for as long as I can remember. I started painting in oils, and still paint in oils. I graduated with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and Advertising and started my professional career as a magazine Art Director and Graphic Designer, later joining McGraw-Hill in book publishing as Creative Director. During my publishing career, I was fortunate to have purchased a home in San Francisco and have been redesigning living spaces ever since.
This experience has taught me much of what I apply to Spacecraft Studio: the importance of diligent planning, and having very high expectations. My background of managing people, departments and fast-moving projects has been the perfect dovetail into construction administration and interior architecture. The design process is very much the same as 2 dimensional graphics and the scale of interiors is very much the same as painting the landscape.
I specialize in space planning, orientation, and color. I love to get into the excruciating details of built-in cabinet, trim and finish design and explore space flow and comfort.
